Why we made a shoe
Drakenbergs began with a graphic on a shirt. The shoe is the next step: something made to last, not to be replaced next season.
The Gats are cut from washed black denim with off-white panels and a natural gum sole, finished by hand so that no two pairs look exactly alike.
They are produced in a limited first run, because we would rather make fewer pairs and get every detail right.

What is it?
The ultimate vintage-washed gat designed for effortless daily wear.
- Upper made from premium distressed washed denim
- Contrasting beige denim panels and classic overlays
- Soft interior feel paired with a durable rubber sole
- Hand-finished distressing for an authentic, aged look
- Distinctive vintage wash process making each pair unique
Note: Due to the artisan washing and distressing techniques, every pair features subtle variations in tone and texture, giving each shoe its own individual character.

What size should I have?
Measure your foot and match it to the chart below. For the most accurate result, measure in the evening, when feet are at their largest.
How to measure
- Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against a wall.
- Mark the tip of your longest toe.
- Measure the distance from the wall to the mark, in millimetres.
- Find the closest value in the chart. If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger.
